Argates are used for fortification and come in three varieties, copper, silver, and gold.
- Copper Argate-Upgrades Equipment from +1-3
- Silver Argate-Upgrades Equipment from +4-6
- Gold Argate- Upgrades Equipment from +7-9

About upgrading weapons with argates
When you upgrade weapons, their damage increases by a lot, basically if you manage to get a weapon to +9, it double the base damage of the weapon. Example, weapon dmg 1000-1500 +0, and then weapon damage 2000-3000 +9.
The guard rate, and magic resist, and the critical rate keeps raising up, when you get higher upgrade on your armor.
Types of argates
Copper argate
Upgrade +1 - +3 (High chance of success also if the fortification fails item is not destroyed.)
Copper argate is the first item you need to upgrade your armor/weapons to glow gold, and makes the upgraded item glow copper Template:Cn. It also increases their defense.
It is dropped by all monsters, but very, very rarely.
Silver argate
Upgrade +4 - +6 (lower chance of success than copper, but still quite good/Item is not destroyed if it wfails)
Silver argate is the second item you need to upgrade your armor/weapons to glow gold, and makes the upgraded item glow silverTemplate:Cn. It also increases your critical hit rate, block rate, magic, and defense.
It is dropped by all 40+ monsters and the drop rate is higher with higher level monsters.
Gold argate
Upgrade +7 - +9 (very low chance at least for +8 +9, can destroy the item)
Upgrades on gloves increase critical hit rate, upgrades on boots increase guard rate, and upgrades on pants increase resistance to magic.
Gold argate is the last item you need to upgrade your armor/weapons to glow gold.
